Microsoft recently announced that it’s started replacing the Files App within Teams with OneDrive in the new Teams app. With this OneDrive app, users will be able to easily find their files, browse for files by People or meetings as well as unify the experience across Microsoft 365.
To see the new OneDrive, you’ll need to the new Teams experience / App. Using the toggle across the top, you will be able to switch (unless your admins have disabled it). Once complete, the Files app will disappear and be replaced by OneDrive.

Some advantages… New views and filters making it easier to find the file you want. Search for the name of the file or enter the person’s name, and returned are all the files shared by that person. You can also browse by file type and meetings.
