Shortcuts to New Documents, Spreadsheets or Presentations

Microsoft Office 365 continues to be the suite of productivity applications.  The collection of apps allows users with access to Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, and more. 

Typically, to access these platforms you would first need to download the Microsoft 365 app. Once downloaded, then you can navigate to your app on your local machine.  

Shortcuts for creating documents, spreadsheets or presentations

If you are attempting to use the browser more and more, you are now able to use the .new to create new documents, spreadsheets and presentations. This does require that you have a Microsoft account and works with my Enterprise account. To create a new Word document, enter in word.new within your url and watch the new document create.  

Other ones are listed below: 

  • word.new 
  • excel.new 
  • powerpoint.new 
  • docx.new 
  • pptx.new 

This saves time to create a new document or a new presentation. Utilmately, this can save minutes off of finding the application or multiple mouse clicks!
